The Notebook

I have hinted about my abysmal handwriting in a previous life. I have also hinted about my pocket notebook. Behold its magnificence, and the pathetic excuse of my handwriting.

My notebookI have been known to scribble ideas, grocery lists and directions on a same page. I have also been known to write ideas for a same blog post on different pages, and… in different notebooks. And I have been known to not being able to decipher my own handwriting. My mind, in a nutbook.

Do you keep a notebook for your blogging ideas? If you would like to share your notebooks and scribbles, take a photo of them, upload the photo to your dashboard gallery and send me the link (clownonfire at gmail dot com OR sr71chick at gmail dot com). I’ll post that link in your comment.

  1. Only recently have I begun sometimes doing that… most of my pieces have been written on computer right before I hit publish.

  2. maybe this is why my blog is not as clever as yours….I don’t keep a book filled with ideas…only my groceries!

  3. Nothing like UNBLOCHING yourself to free your demons…it’s what I do but only with a MUSE…a very famous one at that. Unlike your famousness, LE CLOWN.

  4. I have several (dozen) such journals. I will make a collage, and “tag” you. Fun premise, and great blog all around. :)

  5. I saw your blog mentioned on Daily Pist and thought I’d check it out. What a great site! I can’t agree with you more about the importance of note pads. The times I have forgotten great ideas because I didn’t think to note it down at the point of conception. Oh the pain! Conversely, I’ve written some posts I’m proud of thanks to whipping out the dictaphone function on my phone or typing it out furiously on my tiny iPhone screen.

  7. Oh, don’t feel bad. All good ideas start out raw. It should be a normal thing for writers.
